Windows 10, Can your computer handle it?
Microsoft States this as their minimum requirements for Windows 10:
Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster processor or SoC (System on Chip).
RAM: 1 gigabyte (GB) for 32-bit or 2 GB for 64-bit.
Hard disk space: 16 GB for 32-bit OS 20 GB for 64-bit OS.
Graphics card: DirectX 9 or later with WDDM 1.0 driver.
However, you and I both know minimum is not always the best. Lets face it, the days of waiting 15 minutes for a picture to load on dial-up internet are long gone... So why would you want to experience that type of speed again? Would Windows 10 run with these specs? Yes... but you'll hate it, trust me.
This is my recommend spec's for Windows 10:
Processor: 2.5Ghz or faster.
Ram: at least 8GB.
Hard Disk Space: 320GB.
Graphics Card: Any - majority on-board graphics will suffice, unless you're gaming or picture/video editing (both Nvidia or Radeon cards are great options).
Display: 1920x1080 is going to be the standard HD picture quality.
If you have a computer with these recommended specs, you'll have much more enjoyable experience with Windows 10. The way Microsoft really intended, why they didn't make this their recommended specs? The world may never know...
To find out what your computer specs are follow these steps:
If you're currently using Windows 7, the first thing you'll want to do is click the Windows icon on the bottom left corner of your screen. Then search for "computer properties" and press enter.
Voila, a new window will open and now you'll have a complete list of your computers specs.
For current Windows 10 user's, click the magnifying glass at the bottom left corner and do the same. Feel free to compare to my recommended list.
